Human beings are efficient; we want easy access to the things that we need.
The Circle of Influence (C.O.I.) is your circumference of influence present around you at all times. This is your reach, or what you can get access to at any point in time.
Our success is dependent on how much of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs we can access at any point in time.
Coupled with MJ DeMarco’s C.E.N.T.S. commandments we increase our probability of success even further.
Just like in the Fastlane, we try to adhere our business to these commandments as much as possible, and when applied to your C.O.I., I believe the same is true.
The more you are able to get access to basic needs (food, water, warmth, rest), safety needs, etc., the more successful you’ll be.
This is why I love traveling, because when you displace yourself from your comfort zone, your C.O.I. has to adapt to its new environment.
Money has the potential to grow and strengthen your C.O.I., and if not it's a good indicator of the power of your C.O.I.
