How can terrible customer service(or just a horrible service) effect the growth of your business? Here is a PRIME EXAMPLE

For any lurkers who don't know me and may of found this review on google. I write this as a true customer of clearwire who was done dirty and taken advantage of. I am not being paid or receiving any compensation for this post. It is a real review from my heart.

One thing holding me back from working on my site was my horrible internet connection that was totally unreliable. I could not stream a video, navigate through pages, upload a file or do anything you would expect a high speed internet provider to give you...
My metro phone could browse the internet faster then my service.

What internet did I have? CLEARWIRE!

So after a week of spending practically hours talking to there customer service team they deemed it okay to cancel my contract without deactivation fees due to connection issues. (And my persistent calling and bugging them with no positive results)

But they say I will be charged 40.00$ for restocking fees. I could not believe this!
40.00$ so they can take back there piece of shit modem? They tried to make it seem like they were cutting me a Great deal by not charging me the early cancellation fee that the
contract I agreed to allowed. I agreed to that contract under the circumstances they provided me with the service they said they would.

After about 2 hours of talking to there customer service based on principles alone they finally agreed to lower the payment to 20.00$. Do I think I should have to pay 20.00$ for them to re-stock there shity service? no. But to get it out of my hair I will. I just want this headache to be over with.

I even told the head representive that I would make a website clearwirereview.com and post my current experiences along with a video showing horrible loading times compared to a 40 dollar metro phone if he did no wave the fee which I feel is complete BS. (turns out if you search of google for clearwire, you will see a site called clearwiresucks.com on page 1 right below the main clearwire site. Somebody already beat me to the idea and this may be why he was unphased. He must deal with people like me everyday)

I was being charged for them to take there piece of shit modem back? I don't care if it is only 40 dollars that is not right. They wasted my time, Not to mention hours upon hours of frustration waiting for pages and software to download. Not to mention the complete unreliability of Clearwire. Random losing connection for no reason
I spent at least 4 total talking to them.. I asked how much they thought my time was worth. And if I spent 4 hours talking to them on the phone trying to fix there dam modem they should wave the 40.00$ just based on that.

Anyways what did I learn from all this?

  • Where ever life takes me and whatever business I decide to go with. I promise I will never offer anyone a shity service like clearwire offered me and pretend like the customer is the only one with the problem. Knowing full well I deal with multiple people complaining about the same thing everyday(as you will see on clearwiresucks.com My EXACT problems.)
  • I will never try to just grind money out of people just because a contract says I can. Or take advantage over a customer who once trusted me.
  • I truly want to go out of my way to make people happy and enjoy there day as much as possible. I WANT them to be happy with my service or product. I realized how great customer service (as well as a great service) can really make or break somebody's day.
  • I'm going to always treat my customers as if they are my friends on a professional level. I will bend backwords to ensure there needs are met. I will go out of the box to meet there demands if that is what I must do.
I'm glad I found a way to turn such a negative experience into a great lesson,.

Yesterday I got my AT&T high speed wireless internet modem and it has been a godsend. For the same price I'm enjoying the internet with no lag and instant streaming.
