Hello All,
I started Qrezy when I didn't want to use a black and white code for one of my businesses.
I first found out about QR codes right after I got my first smart phone and visited the local Best Buy. I noticed that Best Buy had a QR code for every product, so as every new smartphone user does, I tried the new apps and scanned away. After scanning the codes I realized they simply went to the mobile page for that product.
At the time I was just starting my art blog and I wanted a code for the site, but it had to be in color, had to be unique and artistic of course. After looking around online I learned that some people created designed codes, but nothing that were up to my standards, so I did research and taught myself how to design and create a code for my blog. After creating my first design friends and family began to ask if I could make them codes for their businesses and blogs. Soon I realized I could turn what I did into a business.
Before I got carried away with just designing the codes I began to research the use of he codes. What was the point of a QR code and how can I change the way their being used?
Now some may not agree with my definition, but I felt they were a bridge between digital information in the physical world.
After learning about the ways the codes have been used and marketed, my mindset changed on QR codes entirely. At first I was helping people become part of a fad and simply have a code because other people did. I began to realize the codes are not for the business, but for the guest/customers scanning them. Going to a website or worse a non-mobile website was just a waste of time and not satisfying.
Most companies weren't comprehending that a QR code is a first impression. I share my thoughts and opinions on the codes and how they can be marketed properly, but most businesses ignore me because my age. Even though I'm a 22 year old college student, I know how the codes can benefit every business and I'm still constantly spending time learning new ways to design and market the codes.
I no longer convince companies, my team and myself simply show how the codes can be used properly, effectively and efficiently. Businesses can choose to use our concepts, we just want everyone to get the best use out of using the codes the right way.
My team and I recently refocused on the market that shared our vision (Mobile Apps) and the feedback has been tremendous, but the request have been slow. We help App Developers market their App in the physical world, rather than just online.
For example picture a code designed specifically for an app in a newspaper and everyone with a smartphone could download that app, by simply scanning the code. (Just a small scenario) No more need to look up an app in the market. Just scan, download and connect.
I understand my business is offering something that's very new and never been done before, but I'm curious if what we do gets across through our website?
Anyone have any suggestions on how to reach out to App Developers? (We have been using e-mails)
Am I answering all the questions potential clients might have?
I know I'm asking a lot, but I'd appreciate any thoughts and feedback. :smug2:
Thank you
