I never realized how much your environment can affect your productivity, your attitude, and your overall "feeling". I've noticed since buying my house that I'm having some serious motivation issues with business. I can go out into the backyard and work on the garden all day long. But as soon as I would go in the house and try and do anything, my drive went out the window. Same thing with my wife. She hasnt hung very many of the pictures up or done anything to make the home feel like a home.....and we couldn't figure out why. Then it dawned on us.......
The sellers chose to put this disgusting renters white paint on every wall in the house. The last house we rented had color everywhere.....and we birthed a hot dog cart out of that house and my wife fixed up all of the decor and the kids rooms looked like kids rooms. We decided to paint the living room some really nice colors and we are both already feeling better....even though we are only halfway done with it. It feels completely different.
