Hope you guys are having a blast. As you might know, I am an aspiring appreneure. So, for the last couple of months, I have been trying to get into the mobile app boom.
But I have been failing everytime. I mainly make games. I have published 3 games in the google playstore only to get 50+ downloads in each of them. And as they were monetized only with ads, and they didn't have enough downloads, I earned a total of $0.09 in the last 6 months. [BTW, I was confused about this before I got started, so if anyone is still unaware, admob only pays for clicks in the ads, not for impressions.]
But I see games everyday that are published 2/3 days ago but has thousands of download. I am sure they are doing something that I don't know about. I know about ASO, selecting a title, good descriptions and appealing screenshots,icon etc. But I am pretty sure they are not everything that's on play. I know buying some downloads to boost your rank is a well used option, but that cannot bring you 100 thousand downloads, or can it? Some say I can run a paid promotional campaign for a week or so to make my games go viral, but I am skeptical.
I am planning to go deep into the world of ASO and learn exactly what should I do to get that many downloads. If any of you guys have experience in getting lots of downloads, will you please give me some knowledge about it?

On a positive side, I have been doing some writing jobs in Upwork, and earned my first dollar from the Internet. Infact for the past 2 months I have been earning some decent amount of money for a student in context of my country. Although this might not be a very big deal, and I might be still trading my time for money, but was is a very exciting first step for me.
