I'm a CPA in South Florida and I've been interested in starting a scalable side business for a while. I work full-time for a large company and no longer work in public accounting.
I've toyed with the idea of doing freelance accounting work as having a CPA license creates a barrier to entry. However, I feel as though I'd be "buying a job" since accounting firms are notoriously difficult to scale and every client comes with different headaches.
I've also considered Amazon FBA and wholesaling real estate lease options, but I talked myself out of both. Lately, I've been leaning towards a SaaS business in the fintech space.
Anyway, I look forward to contributing to this forum and hopefully, it will help me extract some ideas.
