I have sold so much on classifieds i should be a consultant. I have learned a few key things about timing. Every item is different, timing is very important. As far as days go, things are not what people think they are. The highest traffic days are the beginning of the week, Monday is crazy. Here is the problem, monday i will get 50 emails about things, blah blah. Then i push an ad friday or saturday and it sells. This is what people must understand.
Monday people will be looking alot
Fri-Sun they are ready to buy
the problem is people are wierd and indecisive, so from monday to saturday you will loose the sale.
You MUST get these people from monday to come tuesday.
It has made a huge difference in sales. I will literally drop the price 5-10 percent if they agree to come the next day. Forget about looking desperate or whatever, this is how its done and it works. You may get lucky, but ive had alot of transactions, and the monday guy promising hes coming saturday, will never come.
Tell him if you come tomorrow ill take the price from 20k to 19k right now.
When you are doing volume, this is the difference between being stubborn and successful at it, so whether you sell a table, car or house, this is what must be done.
Even add 10 percent to your add, so you can do this if you are set on a price.
