I want to invest my money, as well as other people's money, in both paper assets, and real estate. (They would be separate LPs)

Would creating one or more limited partnerships be the way to do this?

I could add partners as I go along, and draw a salary from income generated from the real estate... and another salary from a management fee (once deducted expenses) and a performance fee from the paper assets.

Is this feasible? (Would I need licenses to do this? Broker or otherwise?)
