I'd really appreciate some feedback from anyone here who's built a similar business or came up into a reasonably similar situation please:
Currently - My offline group personal training program is working with 6 people, (albeit being on hold due to lockdown) which is NEVER going to be making me retire early.
£100 p/m/pp and rent for the facility alone is £240, then I've got to take off petrol and tax... uphill struggle to say the least! I teach these three mornings per week, so it's 16 hours a month, just for the training at £22.50 p/h
However, since moving it online and expanding the network of people that are available to join... the numbers have increased to 15-20.This has now reduced the price to £50 though due to there being no "face to face"sessions right now.
So, when lockdown ends, probably soon, I'll have a decision to make on whether to keep plugging at online and keep it purely there, or to launch offline again as well.
Problem is that face to face would need to get to AT LEAST 30 members paying 100 per month within 2-3 months for there to be any types of liveable income. But those same 6 people (who used to come to offline) won't stay if it continues to be online only... I do love teaching the guys in the morning, but could probably earn more working a telesales job per hour.
To build the numbers up to 30 online when it took me so long to get the first 6 in the first place, leaves me with a lot of doubt. (It's not a new business I've just launched, it's been running 8+months)
I'm 33 this year and F*cking tired of just playing round with bitch numbers for bitch money but seem to be stuck in a loop where I can't generate the volume of sales needed to ever turn this into a profitable enough to live on for 10+ years business. A lot of why I stick at this industry is because it's pretty much all I've ever done (working in gyms etc)
I'm sitting here now designing leadpages, new parts on the website and moving buttons around, recording videos about how to do this or that with your nutrition, but it just feels like I'm maybe flogging a horse that's not only dead, but has had flies buzzing around it for a while as well...
So that's it, and apologies this is a ramble, but I'm tired of faking being self-employed just so I've not had to make any hard decisions and stick to them
The decisions scare me and I'm not getting any younger, so please give me some input as to what the f**k I should do
