Almost everybody on the internet who uses reddit, youtube, and other sites know what memes are. For anyone who doesn't know, the're essentially catchy sayings or phases accompanied by a picture. Something so widely known may sell if accompanied by a product with a saying.
From my research using just the saying or phrase would be under "fair use". I would't use a picture as the original photographer most likely has rights to that. ( Even though, I doubt many of the original photographs want to waste time persueing the internet as a whole )
If anybody has any insight on the rights to memes / sayings, your input would be appreciated.
