I just got Google voice set up on my Sprint phone and it got me thinking. I would like a nice 2 line office speakerphone. I would like one line to call from and receive calls from my Sprint number(now Google Voice integrated). I would like the other line to call out with my 1877 number from phone.com. My particular extensions on my 1877 number already forward to my Cell/GVoice number so no real need to receive calls to the 1877 number, it goes to an automated answering system and routes calls to the correct person.
So after looking it over I have found "a way" I can make it work, BUT it requires 2 ATA devices. One is a Cisco ATA device for my 1877 number from phone.com it is free, but the service costs $3.99 per month.
The other device I will need is for Google Voice it is called a OTi100 and they are on Amazon for about $40. I can use this ATA to call from and receive calls from my Sprint/GV number.
The final device I will need is a 2 line office phone. Usually around $60. One line will come from the Cisco ATA, and the other will come from the OTi100.
So people who know what I am talking about, it there a better way to do this? Is there a way to only have 1 ATA and both lines?
