One thing that blew my mind when I first read it, was the part of taking the right Choices in TMF . But reading something is completely different from actually putting it into action. You may think of the right choices while you sit at home thinking about it, but I'm sure a lot of you know the feeling of "this would've been the right choice, why didn't I think of it in that situation?"
That was one of the biggest obstacles for me to overcome in the beginning of my (yet early) journey.
MJ's chocolate cookie story is a good example. Not buying the chocolate cookies at the grocery store = not having it at home = not eating it = not gaining fat. It all starts with the right choice in the moment that the choice is needed. In others words: you need to make that choice at the grocery store, not after you arrive at home with it in your shopping bag.
That was one of my biggest problems for years, so I decided to find a solution to it, because I knew those wrong choices won't take me anywhere I want to be.
I found a little trick that helped me to overcome this problem, a little trick that was the solution to a big problem. What that trick is?
I started to ask myself one simple question before I was about to do something:
Sounds too simple? I didn't say it is difficult. The difficulty lays in creating the habit of doing it. It took me some time to build that habit, but it definitely was worth it. Now let me list some examples of situations (just in case you're wondering if you should ask that question before hitting the toilet...)
Want to grab the chocolate bar at the grocery store? - ask yourself "Does it help to reach my goal of losing weight?" NO. Then screw that little bit of instant gratification.
Want to drive home instead of hitting the gym? - ask yourself "Does it help to reach my goal of being healthy?" NO. Then hit the gym, no matter how low your excitement for it right now.
Want to watch Game of Thrones now? - ask yourself "Does it help to reach my goal of finishing X page of my website?" NO. Then turn off that tv and turn on the notebook.
Want to surf Facebook now? - ask yourself "Does it help to reach my goal of learning how to market my business?" NO. Then close the tab now.
Want to work on your business now? - ask yourself "Does it help to reach my goal of creating a successful business?" YES. Then do it. (Ok that's something you shouldn't have to ask yourself...)
I think you get the picture. Grow the habit of doing it and it will happen automatically some day, maybe even subconscously.
It helped me to make better choices, I hope it can do the same for you.

If the answer is NO, I won't do it.
If the answer is YES, I gonna do it.
