I just turned in the two week notice for my job! I'm still attending school but I have until early September to hustle and grind (and continue to do so on a somewhat limited basis while at school).
Over the past 6 months I've compiled a list of start-up ideas and in my free time I've begun to put together another list of what I believe to be viable options to dive into as my first real venture (other than just playing around with a few ideas here and there). I'm looking to gather a handful of more ideas to make sure I broaden my options as much as I can before I go all in on my first venture.
The reason I'm posting is because I've hit somewhat of a motivational roadblock, I guess you could call it. Before deciding to quit my job, I felt fine about the idea of attempting this on my own and it didn't even occur to me that I would have trouble actually CHOOSING which venture I should pursue. But that seems to be my biggest challenge at the moment.
I'm afraid that If I choose the wrong one, I'll put too much effort into it and then end up a failure. Granted I will learn a lot, but I would be right back at the first step of the ladder.
So my questions are:
How did all you success story entrepreneurs out there narrow down your options, especially if you have a lot of good ones? Did market research have a lot to do with your decision to pursue what you did? How much market research did you do? Is there just a point where you have to trust your gut?
I'm just so eager to get started and to begin my Fastlane journey, but I'm getting really frustrated and overwhelmed by this seemingly huge decision. Thanks for the help everyone.
