All the effort I've been putting in to rebranding imported products for sale here has prompted some family discussion. My son is now infected with this concept and has taken the bull by the horns.
A couple days ago he received his first shipment of the product he selected. It came with minimal packaging, no labels or instructions, nothing. He went to http:/cheap-upc-barcode.com/ (thanks Vigilante!), got his 10 UPC numbers, went to Staples and got cardboard bag toppers, and is now using the free Avery tool to make labels to stick on the toppers. It will include his brand, the product name, his own UPC symbol, and I don't know what else. I'm looking forward to getting home tonight to check it out.
He's got a few other products identified that he will bring in, rebrand, and sell.
He's got his FBA store set up and will send his product to Amazon in the next couple days. Much fun at the Mail household! I still haven't convinced him to join the forum. I don't think he's even visited, other than to read some posts from a few threads I steered him to. I'm still working on it - I really hope he joins up. You guys'll like him.
If you get the opportunity to work alongside a family member (not partner with them) who shares the passion, I recommend it. This is proving to be a metric buttload of fun!
