So I already have connected with the manufacturer who happens to be the direct seller of a product I'm going to import from South America. My concern with drop shipping is the slow turn around time if I rely on the manufacturer/direct seller to ship directly to my customers after they make a purchase from my eBay store. I was thinking of paying the manufacturer upfront to purchase a load of merchandise and have it shipped to my house directly, so that I can manage the shipping with my customers. The margins are huge on these products so I don't mind if I have to eat some cost to get the merchandise up here to the U.S first, but at least I can control how it's packaged and how quickly it ships to my customers. I just don't have a lot of faith that the manufacturer will get it right. Anyone else deal with making this decision, any pointers?
