Well, as we can see, the e-publishing industry is booming. People are writing books at an alarming rate... but where is the market for it and how can it be isolated?
I want to address a couple growing problems in the e-pub business, one of which is the often exorbitant prices we are expected to pay for e-books. Of course, some books are worth more than others, and I would be more likely to pay $20 for MJ's book than to pay $20 for some book by a no-name author, but that's the problem: it's rare to find a book that I would be willing to paid $20 for. Publishers have a lot of expenses when it comes to getting a book on the shelf or on the Web that indie authors don't have.
This is just an example of one of the glaring problems that I see with the e-book industry: it's just too easy to go onto a p2p filesharing network and get a poorly-scanned copy of an e-book.
So, what I really want to know is... do you guys buy e-books? I have a survey here (i'm not too sure on the rules about surveys) that would be extremely helpful. Using this data, I'm going to decide whether the problem is big enough to attempt to fix or if I should just rely on Amazon.com or a corporate giant to fix it

Thanks for your time and feel free to reply to this post with your stance on the matter. I'm particularly interested in hearing MJ's stance as he has published a book on the Internet.
