Just wanted to post a message for those selling on or thinking about selling on Ebay. This is all just my opinion.
Maybe this has been happening for awhile, but now it runs rampant.
Ebay buyers have found out how to scam sellers. They simply get the product, then open a case with ebay saying the item isnt as descibed. Theres not much a Seller can do from that point. You can argue all you like, but it usually gonna be the same result..... your gonna have to issue a refund.
Now from there Ebay will instruct the buyer to mail the item back to the seller before the refund is processed. The buyer can then ship anything back to you they please. All they need is to give the tracking number to ebay, as soon as its confirmed delivered the buyer gets their refund.
This has recently happened twice. Once was for a phone in perfect condition. Buyer said it wasnt as described, said it didnt work lol. He ended up getting a refund and sent me back a completely different phone. Ebay didnt care.
Today someone is saying that a unopened Quickbooks 2012 I sold them doesnt work. No store that I know of accepts returns on opened software, but Ebay will. I argued my case, but im sure Ebay will decide shortly that I need to refund her. Maybe she will send back the opened software thats now useless, or maybe if im really lucky she will send me a box with a new pet rock inside. Either way Ebay wont care. Sellers lose everytime. When you are working with such low capitol to begin with this is even more frustrating. Someone needs to dethrone Ebay.
