After reading such a great book by m.j Demarco i had to become a part of the site he had created....i have only recently joined site.. but have already took so much information in from the great members here...


My Story

I am 21 and currently work for DHL in jaguar factory Liverpool....my working hours consist of 8 1/2 hour shifts with a dif shift pattern rotating from nights/lates/earlies

i have to answer to bosses... work stupid hours...Miss out on family occasions....and worse of all take holidays when they say so

for what?... a measley pay-check

my worst hours are On lates... my hours make me work til 00:30 Saturday morning and then starting on Monday earlies at 04:45

do you think the owners have to get up on Monday morning at 3 o'clock


any-ways the factory creates around 1200 cars per day at average sale price of 40,000 at over 60% profit ...do the math its a substantial amount the owners are creating


people here are happy working here because they receive around 20% more than they would in any other factory around ...that accumulates to around 70 gbp extra per week .....

wow what a life changing sum ............not


its sad that the millions the owners reap daily doest have any effect on workers in here what's that extra 20 percent for the hours and effort we commit ....

there even making profit on food here that's not even fit for consumption in a prison


these enormous companies are here to take advantage of people who aren't willing to live there dreams and who are scared of losing that pay check

the thing that gets me is that the cars that are getting created.... mainly the new range rover evoque....not one person who manufactures it on the assembly line has the money to buy it!!!!!

i wish to leave soon and go and live life in ibiza for summer.....what I want to do with my life regardless if i lose that paycheck

i will create my own wealth regardless

i have always had entrepreneurial spirit in me but have yet to use it because of the 3 years i have worked here it has held me back

only after reading mjs book that i got courage...i plan on leaving for ibiza in 2 months... just in time for summer season 😀
