Full disclosure this was my wife's idea she told me 2 years ago. The last time she had an idea for business was 8 years ago. I didn't listen to her for 2 years but finally I did. Well that is the business I now have that has surpassed any dreams I had for it.
The items I am thinking about would be single serve cakes and desserts, similar to what is out there but they would be low to no fat and sugar as well as healthy ingredients. BUT the price point would be approx 50% higher. And they would taste surprisingly well. I actually have experience with this having made these items years ago but never finding where to sell them.
I now find myself with a bit more resources and think perhaps this could work.
Target market are people who tend not to be too concerned with the price of food items. They see something they want to eat and they get it. Unfortunately my wife falls into this category lol I will see what she bought such as the $5 cut up fruit from Publix that you can easily eat in a few minutes and I CRINGE!
Maybe this is where I get my revenge by selling these sorts of high dollar convenience type products to other men's wives HA!
I really don't know if there is anyone on this forum who falls under this category.
If you do you are the person who if they like it they buy it without really considering price at all.
I am definitely NOT in this target market but a few people I know are. I have run the idea past them and I have seen them purchase items which to me are quite high priced.
Eg $4 for a 6 ounce bag of 'healthy' trail mix
Not sure if anyone falls into this category of seeing a food unique food item in a store, be it grocery or convenient store and purchasing it.
I have looked in quite a few convenience stores and not seen products like this. That could mean
Any ideas, suggestions and feedback would be appreciated.
ESPECIALLY if you are in this target market would you consider buying something like this?
Think these sorts of products but NOT 440 calories.
Thinking behind the idea is well off people who want a quick snack that tastes GOOD but don't want the calories.
Thank you in advance.

- There is no market for this.
- There are already products like this but I am not seeing them.
- No convenience store would be interested in carrying items such as this.
