Hey Everyone,
This is my first post, so I'd like to introduce myself! I am a mom and yoga teacher living in Canada. I have a BA in psych and have worked what feels like a million different jobs - research assistant, office admin, waitress, retail, non-profit program officer, freelance writer, etc. I have mostly, up until the past year or so, existed on the sidewalk or in the slowlane. However, I always had this feeling, this KNOWING that there had to be more and I was missing out on some link that I've bring me closer to where I felt I needed to be financially. For the longest time I couldn't even pinpoint what I wanted beyond "more money", but I've realized in the past year what exactly I desire for my life: freedom. I don't want to exchange my time for money and I want the freedom to work from anywhere in the world. I have been self-employed for 3.5 years in a slowlane-type business (yoga teacher), and I realized it is not going to bring me to where I want to be. I knew I needed a fastlane.
Aside from my yoga business, I had been doing writing and editing work for 10+ years, and last year I realized that being paid $50 one time to write 700 words was getting me nowhere fast; I needed to be on the other side of things and be the one publishing and marketing rather than writing. I did some research and started self-publishing. My fastlane was born!
In the past 11 months I have self-published 30 ebooks and my income is growing every month. Starting this month I will be scaling it up and publishing 4-5 ebooks per week. I have established my process that I need to execute so I can get to where I want to be.
I just finished reading The Millionaire Fastlane for the second time, and it is definitely one of the most valuable and inspiring books I've read. I want to participate in this forum to surround myself with others who desire freedom the same way I do. I would also like to add value any way I can.
