Hello, Everyone
I just turned 23 on June 27th. I finally knew what I wanted to do with my life when I turned 21, and thats when I started going to B&N everyday as well as read all sorts of books to invest and make money. I've been lurking around for 2 months now. I finally have the guts to speak. I wasn't scared I just didn't know what to say. I have read and finished the book and I have learned a lot from it.
Im planning to start my own childcare referral service or any business for that matter here in Atlanta. I am currently a nanny but I did not choice this service business because I think I know what Im doing or because I have a strong passion for it. I chose it because it is a needed service and easy money, well at least thats what I think. Lol....
But since reading the book Im leaning on me chosing this business because I think it easy to do and pretty much fast money and yes selfish needs. Their are several childcare referral services here so its not an unmet need but my only problem is starting this business on a shoestring.
Everywhere I read it states that it takes $1000+ to start so its kind of making me rethink my decision. I do understand its not about the price but I really need a solution. I know this sounds bad but should I rethink my business plans and start a service that doesn't require a lot of capital? I've been looking at starting a internet business but I don't know what and also just starting a service business period. Yes I do realize I might sound like the person that MJ describes in the book about not sticking to one plan but, Im really confused and in need of guidance. Also, I have a lot of spare time and i want to make use of it by building my own successful business. (I dont want to be a nanny forever and there is absolutely no security in this career path)
So pretty much I would you guys feedback and also some pointers on what I should do.
Thank you all for your time. Amber
