Finding foreign distributors

Over the past month I spent some time to help an American friend of mine to find a distributor for his product in the Netherlands.
Anyway, I found a distributor for my friend and yesterday they signed a distribution agreement. Financially, there is nothing in that deal for me, since I set it up solely to help my friend.
However, this project made me realize that there must be many more small companies with exportable products throughout the world who are looking for trustworthy distributors in the Netherlands.
So, I started playing with the idea of offering a ‘foreign manufacturer – Dutch distributor matchmaking service'.

I’d appreciate your comments/suggestions on the following aspects:

· The best way to find foreign manufacturers who are looking for a distributor in Holland? (Is a dedicated website the best route or should focus on informing foreign chambers of commerce about the services?)
· What compensation can I ask for my services? (For example: is 2 or 3 percent of sales during 2 years realistic in your opinion?).
· What more or less logical add-on services may be welcomed by the customers who looking for a distributor?
