Hello Fastlane Forum!
I am a late twenties guy and hopefully this will be my first of many posts...
The last few years I have been working as a Petroleum Engineer. I started from the bottom (rig hand) and worked my way up in less then a year. The money was great, 200K+, but along with a crash in the industry I have also decided to move on for other reasons. Although the pay in Oil is great it is a tough lifestyle and doesn't allow much of what we are after here: freedom, family and fitness of mind and body.
I have had some experience in my student days with side hustles. I bought and sold over 20 cars during University, started a food delivery business and some more quick cash schemes.
Earlier this year I decided to give it a real shot. I cleaned up my habits, moved on from negative people, focused on input (books, podcasts, inspirational material, gym, diet) and worked my a$$ off on producing outputs (8-10 hours a day for the last 4 months on ideas, sketches, business plans and execution). It is during this transformation from overworked employee to aspiring entrepreneur that I found the Millionaire Fastlane and this forum. Thanks MJ!
Today my first app was handed over to Apple for approval. It has been a long hard road since I started with zero computer experience. The feeling I have at the moment is one of inner satisfaction. Maybe my app will do well or maybe it won't but I have worked hard to produce something physical that was once an idea on a piece of scrap paper. The feeling is great. I know that regardless of success or 'failure' on this one particular project I have changed my mindsets and beliefs for life. I feel like a new man.
I hope to add more to my journey as time goes on and in time would like to give back to others who are on the path too.
