Due to a lack of capital (still a poor college student), I haven't been able to invest yet.
However, since my freshman year, I have been tracking the buying and selling of securities through Edgar SEC database of the top 100 Hedge Funds today. This includes trends in securities positions, the length of holding a certain security, how many of these hedge funds hold the same stock, etc. Every three months I jump on and analyze their filings.
Would people pay for such a service?
Gain exposure to stocks held by the top performing hedge funds today!!!
Alternatively, you could use the names of famous investors. See what [name] is currently investing in today!
If said investor manages said hedge fund, investor is him/herself investing in this position!
So few people realize this information is, by law, publicly displayed. Anyways, people would be paying for a service. I'm the one strictly analyzing these top hedge funds. It does take quite some time to gather the data, compute the ratios, create graphs and display trends. The fact that I have historical prices and positions is huge.
The market for such a service would probably be the "get-rich quickers". The flashy title and play on words would close the deal. Real investors know this information is available. If my research is extensive enough, then real investors could ultimately pay for the service as well.
It's like the Value Line Investment Survey concerning Hedge Funds and with way less material :smxB:.

Do you see this as a valuable report? Would you pay 4.99, 9.99, 19.99 every quarter for such a report?
An suggestions on what else would be considered relevant and valuable on the report?
