I stumble upon this concept of flow when researching about the best way to learn, read something about the learning pyramid which is teaching others is better than just reading, and then found flow. Flow is in theory the ideal state of learning. I thought this might help some people achieve their goals in more a rapid pace, but I'm not speaking from experience yet, but I am going to try to be in flow more often than not, and eventually be in flow at any given notice. I'm optimistic about how my life will change if I force myself to be in flow.

Flow also increases the risk of addiction, which could be good if it's a good addiction right?

I think I found the biggest problem of achieving success with regards to my business, and my life because I will easily get bored with something and not thoroughly read it to the extent that I should to be able to accomplish my goals. I would read or challenge myself beyond my capable level on the subject which only wastes time. A big one, I may also use it as a means to an end, and that’s not flow either.

It’s kind of common sense, but I overlook it.

To be in flow you must have this,

  1. intense and focused concentration on the present moment
  2. merging of action and awareness
  3. a loss of reflective self-consciousness
  4. a sense of personal control or agency over the situation or activity
  5. a distortion of temporal experience, one's subjective experience of time is altered
  6. experience of the activity as intrinsically rewarding, also referred to as autotelic experience
