I am in the process of importing a food supplement to EU from China.
At the moment I am going over the regulations what to put on the labels. When I asked manufacturers sales team about the chemical composition for my product then their first answer that they do not have that information.
So they went over with it with their technical and sent me the percentages of fats/proteins etc per 100g of the product I am interested in. I have no idea if these numbers are even real.
They are manufacturing many differnet supplements, I mention this because they are not focusing solely only on this one supplement but many others aswell. However it feels weird to me. Doesn't China require to analyze and measure such things?
They did give me a certification of analsysis on the batch of this product which includes information about Physical Characteristics, Heavy Metals and Microbiology but the analysis is done by the same company not by a third party.
The product is a processed mixture of different mushrooms, looking at amazon how other sellers have labelled this product in US then none of them are listing fats and proteins. They just state the different mushrooms in the mixture.
If you have any experience in this field, have you seen some sort of specific analysis certificate from manufacturers so you know what to put on your "nutrition facts" part of the label in US?
