Hello Fastlane!
My name is Shaun, I am 30 from Cleveland, OH. I reside in GA. Yesterday, I was given the book the Millionaire FASTLANE and for some reason I could not put it down. I am in a unique position because I am what you call a Sidewalker although I believe there are 3 stages to that effect. Meaning, I graduated H.S, enrolled in college, took a few courses and dropped out. There were little direction in my life coming from a broken home and parents that were oblivious to money managing. I fell in the same situation a typical teen would fall into Credit card, school loans, and a repossed car.. I realized I was going down the same path many had took and confronting that would be the hardest thing I have ever done. Now being a college drop out played a role in the lifestyle I wanted to live, so I was determined to find a way that worked for me. NO taking course after course for 4 years to earn a certificate that only compensates me based on that document. Also, to mention the student loans and debt I would be in. I found a 1 year program that fast-tracked me into an IT carreer, did I metion it was all free- no cost to me. In return I did my internship at Coca-cola as a business analyst- How did I swing that?! With no college education. I landed a job as a Microsoft Technician- in which I currently hold. Throughout H.S I was a major slacker, even throughout my life things have managed to rear it ugly face only for me to prevail. The Millionaire Fastlane brings perspective to my situation. I am a idea machine, I have business model after model self taught. BUT im missing the most important thing and thats direction from a proven source. Ive made if not all the mistakes the book describes. My facebook status read I will not be an employee to the system any longer. I have dreams and aspirations to be better that who I am. I can feel it in every breath I take. Although I continue to make the same Sidewalk and Slowlane approach. Each day I read, my mind opens to new posibilities. I look forward to being a sponge to the forum and asking every question I can.
