I started a new company a few months ago, and as I’ve followed customer needs and pain points, I’ve found myself increasingly drawn into the franchise world. Not because franchises are inherently bad (data suggests they’re often more likely to succeed than independent businesses) but because some of these fast-scaling brands seem more focused on quantity than quality. After all, a high-performing location may earn more per unit, but a high volume of mediocre ones can sometimes bring in more upfront.
Like most things, the bad stories tend to spread faster than the boring-but-steady success cases. I'd love to connect with people here who have firsthand experience in the franchise world—whether from the franchisee or franchisor side—and hear your stories. I think there’s real potential to refine my current product offering to better support this community, but I want to learn as much as I can before I run off to build something new here.
