Hi all,
A lot of people are often talking about meditation here.
Whether it is how to meditate, when to meditate, how to get rid of your stress, anxiety or however you want to call it...
I have been training in hypnotherapy for several months now and I use a method which is giving very good results with my customers so I thought it might be interesting to some of you.
I am offering a personalized session on fiverr just to pay back the time I spent creating it but I will give it away for free to those of you who are interested in that. Just PM me and I will send you the file.
In exchange, if you would accept to share my Fiverr gig on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc... it would be very helpful for me.

Most of today's main diseases are linked or impacted by stress or anxiety.
Thanks to hypnotherapy, I am helping people to get rid of their stress, anxiety and depression. This is how it works:
Our brain is composed by two parts. The main one is the intellectual positive brain, which enables us to get things right in life (decisions based on proper assessments). But there is another part which is the primitive negative part of the brain (this part includes the amygdala, the hipothalamus and the hypocampus).
When our anxiety goes up, we loose control of the intellectual brain and the primitive part takes over to protect us. This is the fight or flight reaction. Basically an example would be if you would bump into a polar bear next time you go out (unlikely I know but it is only for the example ), your anxiety would go up, you would go sweaty, increase the heart beat and you would probably try to escape. This is a safe reaction and in this case it is very good but unfortunately it is the same in life and it becomes a problem if your anxiety prevents you from opening the bank statement when it arrives or from picking up the phone, etc...
Also this part of the brain is very negative, so if you would bump into this polar bear, you wouldn't think "it's probably eaten", chances are that you will think "it will eat me up". And it has to for your own preservation. And to finish, it is also an obssessional mind. So if you had this polar bear in your back garden, you would be reminded of it constantly, you would keep checking.
And because the primitive brain is not an intellect, it cannot be innovative. It has to refer to previous patterns of behaviour. So basically if what we did yesterday ensured our survival, then we are encouraged to do it again and this is why it is so difficult to go out of our comfort zone. The primitive part of the brain considers it as a danger and try to prevent us from going there.
Anxiety is caused by negative thinking. It is not the events in ones lives that necessarily cause the perception of crisis. No, if that were so, everyone at university would be suffering from panic attacks and we know that is not the case. So it must be our thought patterns surrounding the events of our life.
Every negative thought we have is converted into anxiety. We can create anxiety by negatively forecasting the future, big things, "we will never be able to afford that", "I will never find another boyfriend", "I'll never have a baby" etc... It can be small things. A meeting for example. Here we should remember that the mind cannot tell the difference between imagination and reality. Intellectually, we know the meeting is going to go OK, they generally do, but being us, we start thinking about things going wrong. we think about it 50 times. The actual meeting goes quite well but we have attended 51 meetings and 50 have been disasters.
Every negative thoughts we have goes into a sort of "stress bucket" and when this stress bucket fills up, it makes us react within the parameters of anxiety, depression, anger or a combination of all three.
We are emptying this bucket when we sleep but unfortunately, this process is naturally limited to 20% of our sleep. It is called REM sleep (REM stands for Rapid Eye Movement).
We are familiar with how REM works. Someone upsets us in the afternoon and we really are upset. We tell our husband/wife and he/she says forget about it but we really can't. We are thinking about it when we go to bed.
During your REM sleep, we will re-run the event either in clear or metaphorically (dreaming), and we will move it from the primitive brain to the intellectual brain where we have control over it. So when we wake up in the morning, we might well have forgotten about the wretched person or we might not but we will certainly be saying something like " how do I allow these people to upset me so?".
By using relaxation and hypnosis, we are able to make the 2 parts of the brain work together towards the same goal and in turn, make people get back on top of things. This is why a trance created by meditation or hypnosis is so beneficial for us and why so many people in business use it.
I hope this is helpful for some of you. Sorry for the long post and don't hesitate to contact me if you need more details.
