Thanks to reading TMF and Unscripted , I have gone from wondering if I could become a millionaire to knowing that I will.
A little about me: This is my first post, I have real-world sales experience, and I am efficient with video/photo editing. I live near Boston, Massachusetts and I am currently 21 years old working full-time at Amazon as a driver for $22 and hour. On the side, I recently started a small venture called CamoVault. It was a Call of Duty camo unlock service—a niche business I launched to gain experience running something of my own.
I knew from the start that CamoVault wasn’t going to last forever. It relied on a glitch in the game, and because I didn’t control the service’s core mechanism, I always considered it a ticking time bomb. Still, I wanted to see what I could learn by just diving in.
Unfortunately, things ended faster than I anticipated. Activision patched the glitch, and with that, the business dried up. What I thought would last a few months barely lasted more than a few weeks. It was a short-lived venture, but I’m proud of the fact that I took the leap. I gained hands-on experience with marketing, running a website, creating engaging video content, and handling customer interactions.
Now I’m back at square one, reflecting on what went wrong and how I can build something more sustainable.
If anyone has advice, suggestions, or resources that helped them when they were starting out, I’d love to hear them. And no I'm not looking for someone to give me a stellar business idea that will fast track me to millions by the end of the year. To be honest I don't even know what type of advice I'm even looking for .
Note: If the camovault website doesn't pop up anymore, it's basically because I stopped paying for the Shopify page for it, but I will add a media files to show how the website was. (I know the website could be a lot better and was going to be the next thing I upgraded)
