Hey guys.
First I wanted to say that I've read a couple of posts and you guys are the most direct to the point group I've seen. No sugarcoating just straight what the person needs to hear.
I've already introduced myself before but a rundown:
20. Unfortunately doing the college thing. But, doing lots of self-improvement and making constant progress albeit sometimes I question what this progress "is".
I've done my NASM certification for P.T, Analytics certification, Adwords Certification, Hubspot Certification. Started creating a company 1-2 months back and had a decent momentum. Built networks, was posting consistently on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, learned how to make info graphics, cold called daily, and focused on bring value. But, I realized how over saturated the market was and how I disliked doing social media marketing..Its such a scummy business since anyone can claim they "do it" yet barely know how to post on Facebook.
I was very persistent with personal training and getting an internship. I got a job as a personal training at a reputable gym after calling/going to 10 gyms a day, and waiting to hear back from this remote company for marketing I had an interview with last week. Thing is, now that I've gotten what I worked hard for, I am just kinda like "meh".
Right now, I am working on my Udacity Data nanodegree. I'll wake up at 7-8am.(now 6am, Thanks @MJ DeMarco for that Miracle Morning Recommendation). I'll do my morning ritual(Meditating & Visualization) then sit down and work on my courses. I'll apply to Upwork tasks, I'll apply to some paid internships for data. I'll read some books, podcasts and keep working on my course. I'd say I average 4 hours on one course, 1-2 hours applying to Upwork, 2 more hours on another course, gym everyday. I read probably 2 hours also. Overall 8 hours on courses/upwork, 2 gym, 2 reading, 1 and a half morning ritual. (have read 35+ books in 3-4 months.)
I don't think I've watched TV since I was like 15. I find if I am going to waste my time, at least let it be learning. Even when I get "lazy", my biggest urge is just to lay down and read a book. While the amount of information I've learned and skills I've acquired is incredible in span of a couple of months I feel like its been "meaningless" progress.
Before reading Fastlane, and Unscripted , I thought even if I don't have a CLEAR purpose as to exactly where I am headed, as long as I improve everyday, and learn something new then I am making "progress". I had a dose of reality when I came to see that I am a nothing but an academic and have no real life experience with generating REAL income when starting a business. I love the "grind", I love waking up early, learning new things, and overall "leveling up" in this game of life. However, not putting that to use.
My fight inside me is battling two sides:
1st side says "Get a job using the skills you've acquired, make some concrete money, invest in yourself, expand your portfolio, offer services outside of your job, create an agency, then invest in whatever business you really desire(for me its neurotechnology...I love how the brain works)...And if a black swan comes along your way and opens up the doors you consider worthy take that risk"
2nd side says "People your age have started businesses, a "REAL" entrepreneur doesn't NEED to work a job to make a living. Sell things on Amazon, create a retail company, build an app, build a software, build an agency NOW, throw yourself in pitch so you can force the entrepreneur muscles to urgency"
Reading it like this really highlights which makes MUCH more sense, but what are you guys opinion? Am I just circle jerking myself? What can you guys see from my writing with the little you know about me that can tell you something I can't see about myself?
