Germany's strength lies in 'old economy' - International Herald Tribune
"The backlog of orders in German manufacturing has not been this high since 1991, when the rebuilding of eastern Germany was in full swing after reunification. The average German machine-tool maker is booked out for the next seven months, many well into 2009."

"On the latest data, a number of European markets, including Belgium, France, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Sweden fall into this category; with the DAX on a p/e of 10.6, Germany is not that far away."
So it appears investors may have been overly worried and sold Germany when they shouldn't have. The strong euro does not appear to have weakened their exporting sector that much. Perhaps there are some good investments in German industrial stocks at cheap prices lying around.
Just throwing that around, do your own research, as I'm not a fund manager yet and I have other more important issues to deal with now I'm not going into German stocks.
