Trying to follow in the big footsteps of those in front of me (you know the names), I want to give back as much as possible to the people on here. Since I am an early work in progress, it can be a bit difficult to provide as much value as those further ahead in their journey do. But like an awesome Ice-Cream-Loving man told me in his writings "there are no problems, only solvable challenges" while I may not be able to provide too much value for the top contributors on here, yet, I can do my best to provide as much value for those who are not as far into their journey as I am.
That said, this thread is mostly for those who are still in the "where do I start?" phase of their journey.
Please be open to others' opinions and advice.
I understand that everyone has his/her own opinion and ways of seeing things, and I definitely know how that desire for being right feels.
If it is only one thing that you remember from this thread, please let it be this:
Thinking like you think led you to where you are now. If you want to get on a road that merges with the life you want to live, learn to think like those who already live the life you want to live.
Let's be honest, trying to be right won't get you anywhere. Please get rid of that attitude, accept that you are where you are because of your mindsets and the choices based on those mindsets. Accept and put into action the mindsets and choices of those who are successful, even if that means to forget everything that all the authorities taught you your whole life. Is your teacher's reality a reality that you want to live in? Or is MJ's reality one that you'd like yours to look similar to? Make your choice.
Think and act like those who already are where you want to be.

A perfect example for people not even really reading the lines is Vigilante's Because I Can thread.
Those who felt the need to respond with "you were rude to her" totally missed every point of the post. Don't get trapped in a Slowlane-ish self-pittying mentality, some responses to this thread were ridiculous. If you really read the lines Vig wrote, he wasn't rude by telling her the truth straight to her face, he actually did more to this girl than most people ever did for her. Those who suggested to tell her to get out would have done nothing for her, those who would have done the work for her would have done nothing for her. But he did something for her, he showed her that there's more to life than living a life ruled by your job. He showed here, that she doesn't have to live that way.
Let's have a look at the opinion to this thread by another top contributor:
BTW, please take a minute and check the 'last seen online' date in the "you were rude to her!" guys' profiles. You can either choose to put yourself in the victim role, because "that successful guy was so rude!" or you can start thinking like this successful guy to actually become successful yourself one day. It's your choice.
Another great example is another thread by Vig: Standing Still As Life Passes By.
Most people in that thread loved it, including me, it perfectly describes what we don't want our life to look like. But somehow there were people who felt offended by Vig's description of the woman or by judging a stranger lol. Again, completely missed every point made in that thread.
Before you can even think about reading between the lines of posts, please learn to read the lines first.
The best example of people not reading the lines and people not reading between the lines is IceCreamKid's "The Astonishing Secrets" Thread.
ICK's posts in there all deserve a DIAMOND tag on them. Honestly, after finishing TMF , this thread should be the first thing to read on here. It adds to TMF perfectly.
You really can feel the love ICK put into those posts. Some of the responses in it and mentioned by ICK that he received via PM by other members made me sad though. Instead of soaking up ICK's great mindsets, some people try to use his openess and his love to get a step by step guide to success out of him, or to waste his time with not putting his shared wisdom and advice into action.
I am thankful for every single word written by ICK in this thread and I am sure he changed a lot of mindsets and lifes with it, mine included.
What I mean with "not reading the lines and between the lines" is, that the responses to most of the "but if this and that" type of posts were already in ICK's posts.
Those posts really have the power to shift your mindset. But then I see people do exactly the opposite of what he wrote: overthinking everything instead of taking action.
Learn to think like those who already live the life you want to live, and I promise you that you will get a lot more out of this awesome place.
Your next post after reading something like this shouldn't be "but how do I do that?", actually you should click like/thanks, close the tab and start taking action on it.
Really, the successful people post "stop overthinking everything" and some respond with "but what if X, Y and Z happens?" See the paradox here? Don't ask for advice if you don't take it. Trust those people who already achieved what you want to achieve. I mean what can happen in the worst case? You love others and add value to their lifes? Yeah that's a pretty horrible worst case.. Ok but in all seriousness, if someone successful tells you to stop overthinking and start taking action, no matter if you fail, what's the worst case scenario of doing that? You fail. Alright, get up and do it again. But what's the worst case scenario if you don't take that advice and put it into action? You read and overthink everything until you are 50 without taking any action. Then one day you're a fat nurse smoking your cigarette, while life passes by, oh and of course while that happy looking, his-freedom-enjoying guy passes by in his car.
If you are still asking yourself "where do I start?" or "how do I find an idea?" the answers are all there, they may not be the step by step and how to do it type of answers you were looking for, but they are here.
The only person that can start to put those answers into action for you, is that awesome looking guy/gal in the mirror

you sound rude, just to rub it in her face.
I would had told her leave me alone.
Yeah, you sound like a complete a$$ in that post.

LOVE IT!!! I totally get where you are coming from. I recently am having a problem finding friends to golf with, you guessed it, they are all at work.

Love others. Drop the greed because it will blind you to opportunities for more ice cream around you. When you harness this mindset for a long enough amount of time, you will see the abundance of possibilities and realize the ice cream is everywhere. Fear and scarcity WILL be replaced by confidence and abundance.
I could still be watching...waiting for that day...the day that might never come. The bulk of my knowledge came while I was taking action after I got sick of my life.
Don't wait for that perfect moment. Take a moment and make that shit perfect.

We truly believe in our hearts that we have the ability to achieve anything that we put our minds to, therefore we demand persistent daily action towards achieving such goals. We are deeply rooted in reality and do not mentally masturbate. We threw all of the excuses in the trash can. A few bums found the list of excuses in the trash and started using them, but that’s their choice.
We realize that whatever dominating thoughts inside of us will eventually manifest itself outward into physical reality. We must never let the negative gremlins in Candy Land allow their comments to dominate our thoughts. If this happens, it’s game over.
We believe that a true ice cream shop cannot last long term unless it offers honest and fair ice cream to the people. Therefore, all of our transactions must benefit EVERYONE involved. There is no selfishness in the ice cream shop.
We convince others to serve us ice cream because we will FIRST serve them, with zero attachment to our personal gain. We get them to believe in us because we believe in them first.
