I think it's good enough to post here too.
You're selfish
It's okay to ask, "What do I want for myself?" And it's true that inevitably we all do this. I know you just want to be happier. Maybe you want all that money and all that stuff. Or maybe you want to get ripped like Arnold. Sometimes you just want to be noticed or loved by someone. You want to eat good food and sleep your life away in a wonderful daze in front of a TV screen. You can almost hear the white noise, while you're asleep. You sometimes wish you were never born and you wish that this world wasn't so cruel to you or others. The things you imagine make you stop. The world isn't good enough.
I'm hinting towards something with this, but it's okay, if you don't understand it yet.
Read on and I'll tell you all about it...
But it makes you weak
I want you to imagine some typical situations... that might or might not have happened to you. But I want you to imagine yourself in them.
It was a regular day and you decided to go outside. The weather was perfect for you. Your favourite clouds. Your favourite wind. Then you noticed someone and your mind started to race. You could barely keep yourself together. You thought, "I'm not good enough." or maybe, "I won't know what to say, so I should leave." You gave up to defeat as your fear and anxieties took hold.
Another time you dreamed of a beautiful palace. With beautiful people, in beautiful clothes. Then you woke up by a startling realization. "You'll never be like that. You don't deserve that. You don't have the map or compass. You're lost and never be found.", your mind spoke to you. Defeated, you shrugged the dream off and went on with your life.
You can become stronger
I want to tell you that defeat is temporary and it's okay to dream and be scared.
I want you to find the strength within yourself. This sentence is the key. I'm not there yet, but I'm on my way and you can be just like me. I want you to get there and I want you to see that I'm selfish too, and I fight just for me. But forget me. This is about you. Or not about you, but what you want. Or not about what you want, but how you can get it. But none of that matters. You know. Just forget it.
It's easy to be depressed, if all you know is you. So forget it. Look at those who need or want. Look at those who see those who need or want. And step in to help. Don't be a hero, but forget yourself.
If you look out for others
I want you to imagine again. Now that you've changed. Some situations that have arranged.
You've fallen in love and all you know is happiness. She might now want you, or he might not notice you, but you've forgotten to be afraid. All you can see now is their happiness and you couldn't care less, if they didn't like you. As long as you made them happier.
You're sick of your body. So what do you focus on now? You look for anyone who even tries to solve the same problem. Then you ask yourself, "How could it work better for them?" You might not know a lot, so you try to be cautious. But then you realize that you really don't know a lot, so you try to learn. How could it work better for them? How could they be happier with making those changes? You wish they could find the strength in themselves.
If you want money, you do the same. You find the person that tries and you ask, "How could I make this better for them?", "How could this work better for them?", "Can I be a part of this, too?"
If you want happiness. It just comes as you forget. It comes, when the love for someone elses success or happiness is stronger than the love for yourself.
You just have to know you can help
I want you to go and find people that could use you. Some of them are selfish too, but don't mind that. Whatever you put out, comes back and soon they'll need you too. Ask them questions and listen closely.
This is all. I hope you can see what I meant now. I hope you can find that same strength in yourself, that I found in me.
Every smallest bit counts
I made this post to not just inspire you, but to also bring awareness to a wonderful someone who needs help. I also want to bring awareness to the /r/donate subreddit as well.
