Hey everyone......
I'm still working on making my second million.....since i've totally failed at making my first million....haha, old/horrible joke.
Anyway, I've identified a big need and not really sure how to get myself in front of small-mid size business owners and present my solution to them. I am an I.T. engineer by trade and not only am I working for one of the largest banks in America (gave away the name right there), but I am also being contracted out to smaller companies that need help with properly structuring their I.T. infrastructure.
I see a common problem with these smaller companies. They all make the same mistakes......which I am prepared to solve. They hire some dumbass wanna be I.T. guy/gal or group of I.T. persons ( first mistake) who then make horrible decisions on behalf of the company (second mistake) which includes wasting company time and resources. This can include buying unnecessary hardware, making suggestions to the owner(s) that usually doesnt work or doesnt work very well, or ends up costing more money and resources than originally projected......etc. It makes sense for some of these companies to keep a desktop support person on hand, but in most cases it usually doesnt make sense to keep a server/netowork/infrastructure guy on hand. This is where I want to come in and give them what they need and then do maintenance as needed and cut out the middle man contracting companies that put me out on assignment.
I thought about posting what I have to offer on Craigslist, but we all know how great Craigslist is.
I was wondering if there are any suggestions what other routes I could take to get my offerings in front of the right person. Thanks for looking.
