I've done some extensive investigating and brainstorming into business properties, franchises, land, development costs, etc.
My question is for the fastlaners whom this would apply for, because I'm assuming there's a few out there that are born in wealth and connections...how does the average people get their feet wet? Most business investment that I'm looking at range from 500k-3M. I found a nice area where I grew up with land available and I have some ideas on what to put there, but the land itself is 1M. Many businesses which I've found interest in are over 1M...which gave me the idea to possibly build something new from purchased land, but even land in good areas are costly. All of the areas I had ideas in were now bought out by multi-million dollar corporations and business because they have the cash flow and connections already to easily do it. I still have a couple of other areas of interested, but I need millions in order to get the land and construction going and I feel that I'll be squashed by the big guys.
Most franchise opportunities require cash assets which I don't have (6 figures) in order to even be considered. Some require that you own the land already (which is costly).
For someone like myself with practically no savings and basically living pay-cheque to pay-cheque on a mid-paying salary from full-time work...this seems impossible.
I'm wondering if anyone on here has been in my shoes and became successful? Any insight or words of wisdom would be appreciated.
