I have an established brand I'm building (built I should say), and now a product line to match. Everything I do is either the best or nothing at all, and I can push the professional aspect of things. So trust and brand image are covered, but I'm not sure where to go from here. The problem is, where do I start when trying to get the attention of retailers?

Walmart, and stores of that nature I'm not interested in, because I know my market. So that makes things easier since this will be more small scale. And I've done a ton of research to see where my market shops at, what they buy, etc.

But where do you begin? I've heard you "send them samples and wait for them to call back". (Obv I will do whatever it takes to make it happen; including following up like a great salesperson). So where do you send those samples, to their main offices?

Is there anything to include with the samples like a personal letter, maybe a coffee gift card? Something to stand out and make it worth their time.

If I'm doing this in person and walking into stores/offices, do I just source all the local headquarters and go there directly to pitch?

Basically, I'm lost to be honest ha.

...

Also would love to hear any tips, tricks or advice.. Like how consignment works, what the typical first purchase will be. How much stock I should have beforehand before pitching to retailers, etc. If there's any guides that outline the process at all, I'd really appreciate anyone who shares them.

Thanks!
