Just wanted to thank the forum for good advice.
Specifically, @jasoncuellar123 suggested:
"Maybe use Reddit as a way to market your book?
Just be yourself, and offer help based on the content of your book.
Maybe make your username something relevant to the book title....
So many possibilities."
Anyways, I have spent a lot of time on Reddit helping beginning photographers. Some want to know what camera to buy. Others have their first paid photo gig and want to make sure it goes smoothly.
Helping them out gives me energy. It also gives me ideas for new chapters to add to my book. The market is speaking and I'm taking notes.
Anyways, all of this reminds me of something Gary Vaynerchuk said in a video I watched. I'll try to track down that specific video if anyone would like it. I took notes on it months ago.
He said, "You need to build the relationship with people. You need to give first."
"Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook" is the title of one of his books.
The jabs stand for give, give, give. The right hook only comes after you have given a ton.
