Hi Everyone,
I've read the book now so it's time to introduce myself…I'm from the UK, about half an hour outside of London. I'm really excited to get to work on my idea as I've always known there was more to life, but until I found the fast lane I had no idea how it could happen. Where do I see myself? Why am I on here? Freedom.
I didn't have much money growing up and that's one thing that pushed me towards better things because we didn't have the option of having fun or doing anything in our spare time. I have visions of one day having all the spare time I need, floating down a river somewhere in some remote part of the world, having the time to see the world and all the amazing things in it, and having the means to contribute to what's important for the world.
I left behind my selfish goals after reading the book as I'd been noticing how all these people that 'do what they love' are still trapped in jobs that are irrelevant to what they love doing, just to pay the bills and one day 'make it' by some vague wishful thinking.
The main idea I have, which I'm keeping as detached from as possible in case it's not needed, is an industry-specific networking site. I've started looking at competitors and signing up to their services and so far I haven't found anything that offers what I'm intending to. The next step is to verify if the demand is there or it's in my imagination or based on a limited number of people around me that share my view from back when I wanted a career in that industry.
So that's my introduction, and if anyone has any suggestions on how to test my idea for demand and what market research to do next that'd be much appreciated I'm new to it all, haven't been involved in any business ventures before so it's time to get to work and make sure that if I'm going to develop this idea extensively I do the right research first!
Thanks for reading!
