Need a bit of advice here guys...i've just started a Google Adwords campaign using a self-made custom designed landing page which is part of my websites domain name but no sidebars or anything else on the page except a navigation footer.
A spam email i received at wordpress for SEO also provided a great summary of everything i needed to know regarding optimisation of my website using Titles, H1-H3 tags, metadescription keywords matching title keywords, keyword in url, end of page sentence with page title etc.
I now rank on the top of page 2 for competitive keywords and haven't yet started blogging so that's a good start.
The problem is with Google Adwords...Google says my quality score is quite low (numbers 3-5 ) for my landing page and many of my ads are not showing for the target keywords so i wonder if a landing page is worth doing for products like jewellery ? I just use one product for promotion on my landing page.
To get around this problem, i decided to just redirect my adword campaign directly to my ebay store and i now have a top quality score and nearly all adverts are ranking on 1st page !
So my question is do i abandon the landing page and just re-direct the adword to my eBay store?
I must add that i don't use any text on the landing page as i use graphics and alt-text inside the images.
Maybe this is where the problem lies but i could be wrong.
I set the Adwords to target mobile devices as the preference and see how it goes. If it doesn't do well then i will set it back to target desktops, laptop, tablets as priority.
