About 18 months ago I started a retail ecommerce store. We've sold about $1MM worth of product online (150k after tax profit) so far with no signs of slowing down. It's been a ride, and we've only used small paid adds and word of mouth to get where we are today.
Advertising with Google is the next step to grow bigger.
After reading Andy Black's Adwords posts on here, we went ahead and signed up for an account with Google. Started a campaign, only to be contacted by Google the next day. Said our site had potential in the competitive niche we are in and they would help us for free (as with any beginning Adwords custmer, I should mention) to get more traffic and thus buyers.
They recommended a budget of €75-150/day, using Google Search and Shopping ads. Is this a lot?
I'd appreciate any knowledgeable advice from you guys.
