I recently signed up for a Google Voice account, and it is sweet! Google will issue you a phone number from whatever area code you like. It will then forward calls to any phone(s) you set up and send a text message and/or email transcript of all voicemails.
Here's how I've been using it: All my marketing materials include my business cell phone number. My business phone automatically forwards calls to my google number which then forwards calls to my personal cell phone. Voicemail transcripts are then sent to my email address where I pick them up on my blackberry.
You can also make phone calls from your computer and international call are evidently very cheap. I haven't used these features though. :cheers:
