How is this Health Care issue affecting you?
First off let me start off by saying I am a lifelong Republican and have held office in my township caucus. My past can be verified if you search donors for my town on the Federal Election Committee database fec.gov
Asset protection is extremely important now that I have accumulated net worth. Before I had net worth I carried health insurance as it was important to me to provide for my family and not be a burden on society if serious health problems were to arise.
I am a self-employed farmer and my wife also has a business. As the cost health insurance rose I found it advantageous to get a job that included health insurance. When folks ask me why I work at a factory job I generally respond that I work for health insurance. A solid major medical plan in my area from a reputable carrier generally runs $7500- $10000/year.
From what I have read the cost after tax credits for a family will be $695/adult minimum or 2.5% of income to a maximum of $2500/year when this goes into effect in 2014. If this is true I will be ditching the slow lane job and spending 40 hours a week pursuing fast lane type endeavors on the high risk side as I will not be concerned of facing a $10000 yearly premium if my fast lane idea falls apart.
Are there others of you that are viewing government health care coming into effect in the same way? As a way to make the transition to fast lane easier?
This has become a contentious issue between many of my friends and as many of them:

This has become a contentious issue between many of my friends and as many of them:
- Don't have health insurance and don't want to be forced to pay a dime for it
- Don't want to contribute to their employees health care
- Hate Obama and wish he would drop dead
