Hello all,
I Just found this forum and spent several hours this weekend reading the success stories and the other great discussions...finally a group of successful, positive folks rather than whining "tire-kickers!" I'm seriously impressed and looking forward to joining in on the discussions.
Like many others have stated, reading RDPD was a turning point in my life. I was raised with the poor dad mentality, but always knew I would do much more. After getting a chemical engineering degree I and went to work for a major oil company, but it didn't take long to realize that the corporate ladder wasn't my style! I've still got an engineering job, though with a much smaller and more entrepreneurial company, but I'm working hard to break into the fast lane. A friend and I started buying real estate together about three years ago and I have found my passion! I just love putting deals together and learning every step of the way. So far I've got a duplex, a handful of SFH's, and a 6-unit complex, all cash flowing nicely. Hope to start doing some bigger deals soon and eventually post a "success story" of my own!
