Here to introduce myself as a new comer to the forum.
I have not taken the time yet to read a lot of the posts, hopefully there is some good information there.
I have been on many other forums and there is a lot of “good from the bad” on them.
I have always been an entrepreneur possibly from birth.
Being 56 years old now, and looking back, WOW! I could have really done a lot.
I DID do “a lot”.
I have been in so many business, and have sold many many products for other businesses too.
Last real job that I had, (wasn't “real” by most standards.) was in 2004 and I quit because I wanted to go into real estate full time, not as a sales person, but as an investor.
I shot off like a cannon and by 2006, I had about 1.6 million in equity.
Just like everyone else, I thought it would never end.
It would have been okay, if it DID “ just end”, but it didn't.
It went horribly backwards.
I love to tell the story of one of my properties that the roof replacement was more expensive than what the bank sold it for at a foreclosure sale.
November of 2006, it was like someone turned off a switch.
To make a long story short, I just ended up letting all of my properties go back to the banks.
Some of those properties I had some pride and joy in, and I thought that I would have them forever.
At the end of 2007 my young bride and I decided we would call it quits.
My business partner had been going back and forth to Colombia 7 times during 2007 after I recommended that he should go.
He ended up convincing me to go and stay there maybe to
live, and since I had been going there since 2001 and married my beautiful wife, I thought that I knew that I didn't want to do that.
Well, like I said, he convinced me to come, and up until now, I have basically never left.
I came to Colombia on New Year's Eve 2007-2008, and never left.
Through hustling a little bit, I have been able to stay here all this time.
Most people who know me or know of me envy my lifestyle.
Recently, I stopped to think that for every year that you live, it costs you about 20 grand just to live.
I don't know if that is the correct amount but what I am getting at is that I have been here since 2008, so for five years, I have made enough to stay alive and healthy and reasonably happy.
Even if it is 20,000 dollars per year to support yourself, five years worth is 100,000 dollars.
Most of the time, I have been making a living by being an adult video chat host.
As a video chat host, I perform with beautiful young women on the internet on many of the adult video chat web sites.
Recently, a partner of mine and I met a smooth talking aggressive young guy that convinced us to make an instructional video on how to do what we do.
I really didn't believe in this kid, so what we did, Is we had him pay us upfront for the content, and then we recorded the how to series that he was going to sell to the world with his marketing team.
I don't know what he has been doing, but he never really got it off the ground, maybe due to lack of funds, but I was under the impression that internet marketers got paid after they made the sales, so I don't know why he can't find anyone to market the product for him (us).
My partner and I would be receiving a percentage of all sales made, and if we made the sales ourselves through our own channels, we would make much much more.
Doing what I do for a living is not easy that is for sure, although to most people it looks as though I am having the time of my life, and I am, but it ain't easy.
I would like for a bunch of real experts give me their honest opinion on the how to video course and also if they think that is marketable.
I sent a p.m. To the master with links and my pass codes, but I never heard back, which I thought was weird.
I also can send links for anyone that wants to see any of the shows that we do, but really this posting is not really about either.
What it IS about, is that from 2008 when I got here, even though I have been hustling to survive, I got used to doing just that. but surviving isn't what I always been doing; I have always have done rather well (not driving Lamborghinis and stuff, just living good etc).
I looked at it as burying my head in the sand.
In a way it seems like it wasn't a bad decision after all, because the U.S. Never really got better, it seems as though that it kept on getting worse.
I don't know from first hand, just by what friends say and from what I read in the news.
We both know though that in the U.S. There is an extreme amount of wealth.
Sometimes, I think about being back there in the U.S. But when I do the math, I am probably better off here doing what I am doing.
Today, however was a big tuning point because to stay here legally I need a visa and I am applying for a business visa and to do so, I had to go and register my business.
Registering that business and being a legal entity, I am considering different ways to make money so as to have various streams of income.
I found this forum recently, one night because I was listening to other motivational type stuff and then, of course read the teaser chapters of “ the book”.
Since the eighties, I had been a follower of all of the motivational speakers and had made great improvements in my life.
During this story there have been a great many details left out that would make a great book or a movie.
One thing about my life, is that most people would never dream of doing the things that I have done, and others have done way better and way more impressive achievements.
I live with no regrets however.
Now it is time for me to get to whatever point that I am trying to make in this posting.
One, I need some experts to give me some honest criticism and pointers on marketing it etc our how to video course.
Two, being the fact that I live in Colombia, At present, I have some items that I am going to distribute to see if I can create some additional streams of income.
Three, to let people know who I am and possibly find a few good people to partner up with on some really cool projects
Four to tell you that I have lots of ideas to share with the right people, maybe as a mastermind group to amass a great system of income.
Five to find some people that are like minded and can help me find my way back.
To offer that if any of you want to get involved in some interesting stuff, hit me up.
Six, there is so much that I do not know, and stuff like having a “ghost Writer” etc to write a book for me about me or whatever, I am interested.
Seven to introduce myself to the forum, and get some feedback.
Next week, I will be traveling to get my Visa that allows me to stay here, and when I get back I am going to re start my brain and get busy making more more than what I need to live, banking some and start living life to the fullest again.
