I learned about this forum from MJ's interview on the Eventual Millionaire website and it seems like a great place to hang out.
I've been investing in real estate for about 7 years now. I currently own 8 rental properties - mostly duplexes but a couple triplexes and single families. I have also flipped three houses for respectable profits. I am about to buy 2 more - another duplex and a 4-plex.
The cash flow is starting to be pretty good - I make about $6-7K per month after all expenses. The cash flow should increase to $9-10K per month after I buy and fix up the next two. But that still seems nowhere near what you guys are achieving with startup businesses.
I also wrote an ebook that I sold on Clickbank and through a website on owning duplexes. It generated about 20 sales. I am also trying to blog about owning rental property on my 'Techie Landlord' blog, which I am just trying to load up with posts right now.
Right now I work pretty hard between my rental properties and my full-time, corporate job as a Supply Chain Manager for a manufacturing company. I want to make enough cash flow to quit the corporate gig and run my own business - real estate or something else. I'm hoping this forum can give me some advice on how to accelerate what I am doing. Did I mention I have three kids - the first of which will be going to college in a year?
I am in the middle of reading James Altucher's new book, Choose Yourself. Then I will be on to MJ's.
