Hey folks new here obviously, just introducing myself as a 29 year old introvert from rural Big island.
I went to business school to study finance and never used my degree, working in corporate felt like a death sentence on a gut level.
I lived life in a very hedonistic fashion working many different jobs in bars, driving taxi, construction, landscaping with no life plan because the slowlane never made any sense Ide rather stay on the sidewalk at that time.
It didn't really make any sense to me solely on the fact that the strategy required me surviving all the way to old age which was improbable at the time.
Surviving a life of drugs sex and rock and roll in my early 20s, I wised up and recently got married.
My partner and I were invited by my old man to big island to work and live on his farm so I graciously accepted
I spent the last few years saving a decent chunk of change by selling my good ole disposable life force, while the living arrangement being terrible.
I have enough cash to survive a couple years without working and decided to quit doing jobs as contract laborer to pursue entrepreneurship with every fiber of my being.
My ultimate goal driving me is to get out of this living situation ASAP, to be able to have a piece of property where I'm the king of my own castle and to actually be able to support a family while not being an absentee father working my entire life. I want to be able to continue to grow as its something I get great joy from.
Entrepreneurial success means freedom and growth to me.
I want the freedom to be able to take my life in whatever direction I want, not having the available job market decide for me.
I want to be able to yell FREEDOM like I'm about to lead the Scots in a battle for independence.
After reading Fastlane and Unscripted , I realized that I have very selfish thinking which is going to cause me problems pursuing a Fastlane life. This thinking of how I can provide value for others around me is an entirely new concept for me so I'm approaching this from the foundation up. I just posted on a forum that I lurked on for years for the first time trying to help someone out so I'm trying to get out of my shell.
Anyways Hello all, I will have loads of questions and hopefully I can get to a point where I can give something back to this forum
