Hello everyone! I've been lurking around these forums for the best part of a week now, signed up a few days ago and become a fast lane 'INSIDERS' member after reading the book.
First off let me introduce myself, my name is Ash, I'm 23 and I'm from the UK.
I've owned my own business for quite some time, since 2007 to be precise with my partner in crime (ok boyfriend) Jay. We do a public event over here that in the past 3 years has gone from a hobby to something that can actually be considered somewhat profitable. Just 'working out the kinks' as they say now really on that. Although I am doing this currently that's not actually the reason I've signed up here though.
Even though I may collect some ideas from here for my events company but I'm actually itching to get my feet into importing goods and branding!
I have a degree in graphic design and honestly? I feel I wasted my time. Not because 'Ohhhh there's no jobs, there aren't many options' etc etc. But purely because halfway through the course I just knew it wasn't for me. I knew I had bigger things to be doing and I knew I was supposed to do something more with my life than Ye Olde 9-5 (Everyone says this I know I know).
I've been doing a lot of research on branding, marketing and now importing and think it's about time I give it a go!
Summary about me: Graphic Designer, Event Manager & Tea drinker. Oh and a fan of any dog that has a squishy face.
