I posted a link on a video that I found useful about how to create videos to help with selling your whatever and all hell broke loose. I was going to let it go but it bothered me all last night and I woke up this morning a little pissed so I had to get this off of my chest.
The Millionaire Fastlane is a really great book that had a profound impact on me so naturally I wanted to be a part of the whole fastlane movement and those I thought were on the same page that MJ was. But after being accused of posting an affiliate link in my post, having a member ridicule the gentleman that made the “free” video (that I am not associated with) and having my link disabled by a moderator because it may have been an affiliate link I thought I needed to break a few things down to some of you in a way you may understand it.
No disrespect intended to any of you who are truly here to help those seeking knowledge but it seems that many of you equate wisdom with money and if that’s the case here is some info for you to marinate on. I am not proud to admit this but feel it’s necessary to point out when I run across people who think that a little money in their account makes them superior. In the 90’s when I was in my early 20s, I probably blew more money on cars, houses and jewelry than many of you will ever see in your lifetime. Including some of you net-worth millionaires. The federal government seized so much money from my organization in DC that 60 minutes and 20/20 interviewed one person involved and several magazines have written articles about the case. I admit my activities were irresponsible and I paid my debt to society. My path has been one of productivity for the past 18 years. But don’t think for a second that your bank account can impress me.
I commit myself to being the best at anything that I do and thought that this was a good place to share ideas and grow, and for the most part it is. But I notice that some on this forum think because they have had some degree of success at doing whatever, they have the right to be condescending. Now the old me is about to speak. I don’t give a damn who you are or what it is that you do, I believe in my heart I can learn it and do it as good or better than you, and all this talk about how 99% won’t do anything even if you show them how, that’s a bunch of bullshit that some of you believe to make yourselves feel better about being crabs knowing there is always someone to look down on. But I am not that guy and I am certainly too old to be stroking egos on this forum.
I know this post may not sit well with a lot of you but at this point I really don’t give a damn. I live by a code of honor. An attack on my word and reputation means a lot to me and that’s something that will never change. I guess the road to hell really is paved with good intentions because by trying to do a good deed I got attacked.
For those of you like Patrick P, Vigilante, RichKid and many others I thank you from the bottom of my heart because people like you make this forum golden. But to all of the crabs on a witch hunt, you need to grow some self esteem and understand anything I contribute is sincere online or out in everyday life where I mentor troubled youth and provide my service to the disabled that can't afford it free of charge many times.
So the next time you accuse someone of posting something with a hidden agenda imbedded, maybe this will make you think twice about your crab mentality and check your facts.
