Hello Forum!
My name is Chris and I am currently residing in Germany, studying economics.
Two weeks ago I incorporated my first own company - just before turning 20. I'll do it besides university to start accumulating capital and experience.
So, why am I doing this? Where is my motivation coming from?
A few months ago, I was buying groceries in the local supermarket when I noticed a couple in their mid 40s. They where yelling at each other because the man had put the more expensive cereals in the shopping basket instead of the cheapest ones. And by yelling I really mean shouting through the whole market so everybody could listen to them - from the guy sitting at the checkstand to the grannies in the pastries section.
This was one of the moments that influenced my decision to start my own business.
I don't want to argue with my future wife about cereals.
I don't want to wake up every morning of the week, thinking how hard work sucks.
I don't want to get depressions every sunday because I know the "cruel workweek" is starting the next day again.
And I just don't want to sit at a desk in the accounting department of another ones company for the next 50 years of my life, working to fill this other ones pockets instead of mine.
I know, or at least I think I know, that an entrepreneur's life isn't always easy as well. A lot of people in my environment are entrepreneurs - my dad, my grandpa, friends of the family. I was fortunate enough to have a look over their shoulders sometimes and most of them are supporting me now setting up my own business.
Okay, there it was - my debut to the forum. Thanks to those who were reading this post to the end. And thanks to all the guys here delivering awesome content and making this kind of platform possible in the first way.
P.S.: I hope you can forgive me potential mistakes in my text - since English isn't my mother tongue and I wasn't living in an english-speaking country to date.
